Sentry Oil/Gas
Sentry Petroleum is operator and maintains a 100% working interest in four large prospective permits in the commercially proven Adavale and Cooper-Eromanga Basins. With gross acreage holdings in excess of 6.9 million acres (equal to the size of Hawaii) Sentry is the dominant landholder in the Adavale basin. Within this land bank we have delineated over 50 leads and several drill-ready prospects. All four key geological elements necessary for the generation of hydrocarbons are present throughout the two basins.
Trap – The most obvious traps within the basins are large compressional folds and thrust complexes. There are several of these features in ATP 865 and ATP 866, many with hydrocarbon shows.
Reservoir – The primary reservoir units are Lissoy Sandstone and Log Creek, the formation from which the Gilmore gas field was discovered.
Seal – The best sealing strata within the basin are transition sediments of the Cooladdi Dolostone and the Boree Salt.
Source – Existing data suggests that the Bury Limestone has very good hydrocarbon generating potential and is mature for gas. The Buckabie formation possesses excellent source for oil and gas.
ATP 862 and ATP 864
From analysis of well logs we have identified a Mackunda Sands zone in our two norther permits, ATP 862 and ATP 864. This zone is located immediately beneath coal seams and displayed elevated resistivity and mud gas readings. The Mackunda Sands are located at various depths throughout the permits but all zones are at less than 2,000 feet, resulting in low exploration and development expenses.
ATP 865 and ATP 866
Close to 30 leads and prospects have been identified in our two southern permits.
